.kwb to brf or anything else without a braille note?

Hello. well, today, my braille note just decided it didn't want to work anymore. I made a back up of all of my stuff a week ago, but I didn't realize that some of the files I have are actually in kwb format, and not brf. So, without using a braille note, does anyone know of a way to convert the kwb files in to something usable? I can't just sent some of these files to someone else with a braille note, since they have phone numbers and other personal information I don't want floating around.

Hi,

Have you tried resetting it? Also try a service reset: Plug in the ac adapter and press the record and reset buttons, then release them after a second or so. It should beep, then reset as normal, after wich it will ask you to reset the clock. Only applies to an MPower.

HTH!

Thanks for your response. I've tried all that prior to posting this topic. So I guess I'll have to send the unit in and be without my files for awhile. I guess it's better than permanently losing them

The only work around is to try renaming the .kwb to .txt but I don't know if this will work. If not, you cna't get your files. This is because .kwb is proprietary as you all well know. It's just one of those things..
